Welcome to CHEROKEE ALPACAS of Cornwall

Based near St Austell in Cornwall, Cherokee Alpacas is owned and run by Jacqui Phillip. Jacqui and her husband started with 4 acres of land in Lincolnshire, and originally did not know what to do with 4ft. high grass and thistles!

I have now moved back down to cornwall, and had to rent land near by.  This isnt ideal as you can not be there 24 hours a day,  if you have breeding females, you really need to be around for the birthing.  They are now up in livery at kerthua park.

Alpaca fleece is lovely to spin and knit with, and having taught myself to hand spin, I now teach spinning and knitting in my new alpaca workshop. I also have for sale wool, garments, hand woven alpaca cushions, rovings for spinning. greeting cards.

With having a small herd I can spend time training them. They are all a delight and love a walk around the village on a halter and lead.

I welcome visitors, as this gives me a chance to chat about my favourite subject over a cuppa!

I also do B&B you can spend time here and look around the Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan.  or book for a weekend spinning lesson.
